Electroplated Products

UK Diamond Tooling offer a wide range of electroplated products including Internal Grinding Pins, Electroplated Files, Routers, Cones, Die Laps, and many more items, we also offer electroplated wheels manufactured from either your own blanks or we can manufacture complete.

Electroplated wheels cannot be trued on a spindle and therefore must be mounted and clocked accurately before commencing with grinding. Failure to do so will result in serious damage to the wheel and damage to equipment/machinery.

All products are available in both Diamond and C.B.N. Grit.

Diamond is usually used for tungsten carbide, glass, glass fibre, plastics carbon and various other materials. Where as C.B.N. is most commonly used on hardened steels.

Electroplated products are bonded with a highly concentrated layer of diamond or CBN (Cubic Boron Nitride). Due to the many high-quality grains of a specific size which protrude from the bond, this will provide such tools with a perfect grip and allow them to cut very freely, excellent for high stock removal. They are less likely to load than conventional wheels, and can be produced to almost any profile. Electroplating deposits allows accurate coating of profiles, which would otherwise, not be easy to achieve on sintered tools. Due to their high cutting power and dimensional stability, electroplated tools will ensure economical machining of specific materials.
